Buy Rexroth Indramat MKD Servo Motor
Wake Industrial offers several kinds of industrial automation products for multiple requirements globally in new and refurbished conditions, including Rexroth Indramat MKD servomotors. The digital synchronous motors can be used in combination with the manufacturer’s digital drive controllers to render a cost-effective automation system with extensive functionality
MKD servomotors are characterized by high operational reliability and are used in machine tools, handling and automation systems and packaging machines, printing, paper and food industries. These motors incorporate both electrical as well as electronic commutation. They can be cooled by either natural convection or surface cooling.
MKD servomotors encompass permanent magnets made of special materials in their rotors that make them low inertia motors. These servomotors have very hot housings during operation and take about 140 minutes to cool down after they have been disconnected from the power supply. They encompass plain output shafts or keyway shafts with cylindrical shaft ends and center drill holes according to DIN 748 and DIN 332 specifications respectively. The Rexroth motors do not require a grind-in action to be performed on the holding brakes during normal operation. The holding brakes should be activated two times a day by removing the controller enable signal.
- MKD servomotors deploy the electrical releasing principle for the operation of their holding brakes. The brake armature disk is subjected to a magnetic force in the de-energized state.
- The servomotors are equipped with an integrated encoder system for resolver-style motor feedback with relative or absolute position detection. The feedback helps in positioning the motors and controlling their speeds.
- These Rexroth synchronous servomotors are available in five frame sizes that define the mechanical motor dimensions.
- The entire range of MKD servomotors renders maintenance-free operation because of their brushless design and grease-lubricated bearings for their entire service life.
- The servomotors support peak torque that can be used over a wide speed range and continuous start-stop operation with high repeat frequencies because of the electronic and electrical commutations.
MKD servomotors are characterized by high-performance data and have high dynamics because of a favorable torque-to-inertia mass ratio. They also have high overload capability due to favorable heat dissipation from the windings of the stator to the external wall of the housing.
The Rexroth servomotors have completely closed designs with IP 65 degree of protection that allow them to be used under adverse environmental conditions. MKD servomotors are available in a non-painted form specifically for use in food industries. The motors for other applications have black paint as the prime coat on their housings.
