In the early 2000’s, Pacific Scientific stopped making motors and drive specific to the industrial automation industry. Since then, Pacific Scientific has turned to weapons manufacturing and kinetic solution engineering. However, many manufacturing plants and systems around the globe loved Pacific Scientific products. They were affordable and cutting edge for the time. Pacific Scientific products were at the core of many automation systems and integral aspect of large companies producing all sorts of goods and services.  These products were once thought to be obsolete and completely unavailable. Fortunately, this is not the case for all of them.

Kollmorgen, seeing how great Pacific Scientific automation products were, bought and added many of the PacSci servo motors and drives to their already extensive line of automation equipment. Kollmorgen continued to label Pacific Scientific products with the PacSci labeling up until the end of 2011 when rights to the Pacific Scientific brand name was sold to Danaher Corporation. Now, all former PacSci products carry the Kollmorgen seal due to the obvious ownership change issue. Kollmorgen still offers some made to order PacSci products, found on the Wake Industrial site. Popular series such as POWERPAC motor, PowerMAXII stepper motors, SC7xx-SC9xx drive series, 62xx-64xx stepper drives, and countless others are still able to be bought at surplus through our website.

Keeping stock of and sourcing obsolete parts is our specialty at Wake Industrial. Pacific Scientific is one of our major sales channels. We have contacts than none of our competitors do. If we do not have something on our shelf, don’t worry! We have dozens of sources across the US, Canada, and the EU that the average person, system engineer, or other automation provider does not even know about. We have a much greater chance at offering a variety of New, Refurbished, or Used parts than automation products than any of our competitors. We have more repeat customers than any of our competitors because our customers know we provide follow-up quotes and fast lead time for products we do not have stocked.
