Product Description
The PYRG015K1XXVP00 servo amplifier is a top-rated amplifier from Sanyo Denki. The PY series unit has a 48/140VDC input voltage rating. The device tends to get heated up during normal operation and can cause burns. Hence, it must be allowed to cool down and not be touched immediately after the operation. The various parameters of the PY series unit can be set, modified, or both in two ways using the PY PC-Setup software (except for power phasing) or a remote operator.
The amplifier must always be mounted upright with at least 10mm space on each side because of the convection cooling mechanism deployed in the unit. The device must always be used in a non-explosive, non-combustible, and non-corrosive environment. The servo amplifier dissipates power when in use that can result in heating of the cabinet. Hence, the power dissipated plays a key role in determining the cabinet cooling requirements. The ideal non-operating temperature range is -20°C to +65°C. The unit is designed to work with the manufacturer’s P series of servo motors.
The servo amplifier comes with two single-phase control circuit power terminals featuring 200VDC to 230VDC power supply. When the unit is connected, a check must be done to verify that the control signal voltages and the bus voltage are within the specified limits. The control wires used for connection should have the minimum length possible. The command input wire must not exceed 3m while the other control wires should not be more than 50m. The illumination of the power LED on the amplifier indicates the presence of a +5V control power supply. The control LED gets illuminated when the bus capacitors are charged. There are chances of high voltage when this LED is on. The command pulses are counted during the time delay of 300ms when the amplifier is in the position mode.
