Product Description
The PY2C030UDXXXC00 is a part of the PY series servo amplifiers from Sanyo Denki known for its excellent performance. The amplifier comes with a 30A current rating. The unit can be used with two of the manufacturer’s P30 series servomotors that have maximum 4,500 operating speed. If the amplifier is to be installed near a heat source, then it must be shielded so that the ideal operating temperature does not rise above +55°C because of radiation or convection. During the vertical installation, there must be at least 225mm space on either side of the unit and 25mm clearance at the top and bottom.
The servo amplifier supports a maximum of 90% non-condensing humidity. The amplifier dissipates either 32W or 45W power depending on the servo motor it is connected to. This helps in determining the cabinet cooling requirements and providing proper amplifier ventilation. The device is mounted using screw terminals and mating connectors. The motor power terminal features 14AWG size. In the History mode of the LED display, adjustments can be made to display either the current status or any one of the most recent seven alarms.
The Servo ON input can be used to either enable or disable the amplifier during the normal operation. The servo device features a 300ms delay between the motor excitation and the holding brake release. If an alarm occurs during the amplifier operation, it must be reset before the operation is continued. The ParameterSet mode of operation of the remote operator comprises of the four parameters - velocity loop gain, position loop gain, current command low pass filter, and velocity loop integration time constant. These parameters allow a value to be entered by the user. The PY Setup Software kit comes along with the software and a drive connection cable that can be connected to the 9-pin COM1 or COM2 port.
