Product Description

The SC900 family is a series of single axis servo drives described as economical, high performance, and with medium power. Made by Kollmorgen/Pacific Scientific these servo drives are meant to be paired with resolver equipped brushless 3-phase permanent magnet motors. As far as application is concerned, the SC900 family can be used on medium to large volume original equipment manufacturer (OEM) applications. However, the servo drives can be easily applied in end user applications.

The SC900 family has many state-of-the-art features, including an all digital DSP-based control including the current loop, all system and application parameters set in software, digital auto-tuning for easy and predictable set-up, and an advanced patented Digital Resolver to Digital (DRDC) converter with standard 5.3 are minute absolute accuracy and 24 bit position resolution. These servo drives also have an Advanced Signature Series sinusoidal current control for low shaft torque ripple and uniform control dynamics at all shaft speeds, and a modular construction with a user removable option card user to easily configure the setup.

Additionally, the series also has an RS-232/485 serial interface, SERCOS fiber optic multiaxis interface, single axis programmable positioning, removable personality parameters. capability to field upgrade of drive software, optionally SERCOS digital fiber optic command sources for shaft torque, velocity, or position control, and 16 different emulated quadrature encoder output resolutions up to 16,384 PPR. The SC904-021-01 digital servo drive has these features.

It also has a drive input of 230V 3 phase 50/60Hz 18FLA, and a peak output of 30A and 9kW. The SC904-021-01 has a continuous output of 15A, 4.5kW 3phase or 2.3kW single phase. The drive has an all-digital DSP based control, standard analog and digital interfaces, digital auto-tuning, and extensive protection and diagnostics features. For further modifications, the SC904-021-01 accepts removable option cards.
