This Pacific Scientific servo drive is from the SC900 series. The SC903NN-001-01 is from a family of drives that were created for machines running medium to large volume applications. This servo drive is a single axis design which makes it economical but still high performance for a medium power device. The servo drives in the SC900 family are made for use with 3-phase permanent magnet motors that are resolver equipped and brushless.
The SC903NN-001-01 comes with a lot of features for protection and has some other industry-leading features as well. All control is digital DSP based and that is inclusive of the current loops. Setup is easy thanks to digital auto-tuning and all parameters are already set in the software. The configuration is made easy via a modular construction and an option card that can be removed. Personality parameters can be removed and positioning is programmable with driver software that can be upgraded. The SC903NN-001-01 is compatible with a SERCOS fiber optic multi-axis interface as well as it is compatible with an RS-232/485 serial interface. There is also compatibility with optional interfaces with the unit such as incremental digital, analog, and serial interfaces. Position, velocity, and torque can be controlled via numerous command sources from the above list as well.
The SC903NN-001-01 servo drive from Pacific Scientific comes with an integrated power supply. The unit is completely enclosed and can be panel mounted.
