The SC903-050-01 is a servo drive from the Pacific Scientific’s SC900 servo drive series. This servo drive comes from a series of high performance, single-axis, medium power devices that are economical. They are designed to work 3 phase permanent magnet motors that are equipped with resolvers and are brushless in design. It can be used with medium to large volume OEM applications and even end-user applications. The SC903-050-01 has a 7.5 A power level at 25 degrees Celsius. The cooling option is factory assigned as well as accessories are factory assigned. The customization code is a base servo software type. Along with many standard industry features, this SC900 servo drive features many of the leading features that make it stand out above its competitors.

The software comes preset with all system and application parameters. The servo drive includes all-digital DSP based control, predictable set-up and digital auto-tuning to make it easy to set up and use. The drive features 24-bit position resolution with an accuracy of the standard 5.3 thanks to the patented advanced DRDC under patent number 5,162,798. The SC903-050-01 features modular construction with an option card that can be removed by the user. This ensures an easy configuration. The servo drive uses the RS-232/485 serial interface. Drive software can be upgraded in the field. Positioning can be programmed in this single-axis unit and there are personality parameters that can be removed.

The power supply for this servo drive is integrated into the product design and it is completely enclosed in the panel mount packaging. The SC903-050-01 servo drive can be used with the R, S and PMA series brushless magnet servo motors from Pacific Scientific.
