Product Description
The SC754A-001-02 is designed for use with Pacific Scientific’s line of brushless servo motors including the F (ferrite) and R (rare earth) series motors. For system torque-speed curve information refer to the Pacific Scientific Brushless Servo system catalog. The SC754A-001-02 requires a serial communication link to develop Servo BASIC Plus™ software. A serial interface may be used under software control to interface the SC754A-001-02 with other user-supplied equipment such as:
- Operator displays
- Host computers
- Programmable controllers (PLC)
The SC754A-001-02 uses serial communication interfaces supported by the EIA RS-232B and RS-485 hardware specifications. For controlling The SC754A-001-02 permit a single PC to host from 1 to 255 SC750s. The SC754A-001-02 utilizes 9600 baud communications with one start bit/one stop bit and eight bit word length in either RS-485 format or RS-232.
The SC754A-001-02 provides an analog input channel, which is accessible to the user through software control. Analog signal of the SC754A-001-02 must be within a +12.5 volt range. Next, the signal is digitized at a 1000 Hz sampling rat with 14 bit accuracy, or 16 bit accuracy at 200 Hz rate. Secondly, 12 bit +5 voltage range analog output channel is user accessible under software control.
The SC754A-001-02 provides 16 optically isolated general purpose inputs to support logic type interfaces. Input circuitry is operated with open collector type circuitry. Each input channel of SC754A-001-02 must be capable of sinking 3.75 mill amperes nominally. These inputs can be polled under software control.
Two of the 16 input channels of the SC754A-001-02 are dedicated high speed input channels which will support registration, and encoder position data with a 5 microsecond response time. To ensure safety ensure you follow the manual provided by manufacturer.
