Product Description
Pacific Scientific is a renowned name in the field of motion control. The company has introduced a lot of motors and kits for robotics and motion sensors. Over the years, Pacific Scientific’s servo motors and servo controllers have been ruling the motion industry because of unmatched and long-lasting performance. Initially, the company launched SC720 series followed by hi-tech SC750 series that’s been quite popular with different types of synchronous motors meant for many different purposes. SC725A001 servo controller is one example that belongs to the SC720 series introduced by Pacific Scientific.
The SC720 series servocontrollers offers a peak torque range of 1.1 to 90 Nm. The continuous current output of this series is between 3.8A to 60A with peak current lying in the range of 7.5A to 120A. The SC725A001 servocontroller is a 4-quadrant, stand-alone model the features an internal power supply along with shunt regulator. Plus, there are separate AC inputs for control logic power. In this way the control logic can be powered even when the motor power is removed, so that the data or information may not be lost. The SC725A001 offers three-phase bus power of 240Vac. Like other SC720 series models, the SC725A001 servo controller features a single frameless resolver on the shaft. This type of mounting is meant for rugged and reliable feedback. The feedback output is 1024 pulse per resolution with optional upgrade up to 4096 PPR.
The SC725A001 features Phoenix screw connections for terminals, fully enclosed panel, dynamic braking and a custom integrated circuit. The custom IC is meant for processing motor commutation, and it increases the reliability while reducing the cost and size of the model. Among others, the 7-segment fault code display, front access point for testing and MOV protected input are noteworthy features.
