Product Description
Manufactured by Pacific Scientific, the SC402-048-T4 is engineered to operate several servo motors such as Pacific Scientific Brushless servomotors and Permanent Magnetic Brushless servo motors. The SC402-048-T4 employs high-frequency PWM current for high servo performance. It is among the up-to-date servo drives that accept any analog command given to the drive. Additionally, it is used for torque control. It comes with a Tachsyn Processor, 4.0 V/Krpm tach gradient option code hence operating as a velocity block. The SC402-048-T4 is designed in open-frame design; however, you can add an optional safety cover.
It also comes with several protection circuits such as motor OT, DC bus fault controller OT, and output fault which ensure maintenance-free operation. As an added feature, you can install a shunt regulator, custom compensation, or an output toroid that reduces noise. The SC402-048-T4 features a 115/230 VAC (+10, -15%) input voltage, 160/320 VDC bus voltage (nominal), and a peak output current of 7.0A. This Pacific Scientific servo controller is engineered for vertical mounting to ensure optimal cooling. If operated without a safety cover, you need to mount it inside a cabinet that is free from dirt, dust, and moisture.
Mounting should be a piece of cake since it weighs roughly 5 pounds. It comes with a natural convectional cooling system. The ambient storage temperature is between -55 and 70 degrees, while the operating temperature ranges from 0-50 degrees. The SC402-048-T4 should be installed in an elevation of 1500 meters above sea level. During troubleshooting, you should look out for red and green diagnostic LEDs. The highest priority is always the green POWER LED. If it is not lit, either the VAC power is not applied, or the voltage selector switch is not set correctly.
