Product Description
Kollmorgen/Pacific Scientific has been into the business of producing servo motors and the company’s S20 brushless servo motors answer the needs of reliable, dependable equipment for position control applications. For starters, the S20 series has a 6-pole synchronous servo motors and a neodymium-iron-boron magnets for maximum torque. The S20 series cover a continuous torque range from 0.32NM to 1.6NM.
For reliability and long-life, it has a bearing system with an “O” ring that prevents rotation of outer bearing race for longer life. It has IP65 protection, which features a rugged washdown construction for added protection. The S20 series also has an anti-cog stator design and high-quality interconnection connectors. Rated speeds are listed of of up to 12,500 RPM for high performance. The S20 series are compact motors that are very well-suited for speed and position control applications. The S20 series is flexible enough for integration for other control schemes, as it has primary and secondary feedback devices, in addition to the standard resolver primary feedback design.
In terms of frame sizes and and stacking, the series come in with two frame sizes with both metric and NEMA 23 and NEMA 34 mounting faces. The S24HSNA-RNNM-02 has a 6-pole neodymium motor and comes with a NEMA 23/4 frame size and stack length. Shafting and mounting for the S24HSNA-RNNM-02 are factory assigned. The motor has a “no brake” holding brake option and a primary feedback size of 21 frameless resolver. It has no secondary feedback and no shaft sealing. For terminations, the S24HSNA-RNNM-02 has motor mounted MS connector. Added features include an overtemperature-protection thermistor and English or metric dimensions.
