Product Description
The continuous requirements for higher precision and quality in servomotors has prompted the Kollmorgen manufacturing line, one of the biggest makers of automation equipment, to design and optimize the R60-series. In meeting up with this demand, the R63GENA-TS-NF-NV-00 is not only capable of delivering a significant torque for its specified process, but at highly precise increments due to its multiple positional feedback options.
The ‘G’ winding for this motor is responsible for its electrical and mechanical outputs: it has a standstill current of 11A and a maximum current allowance of 33A. Since it comes with a special samarium-cobalt permanent magnet for the 4-pole rotor, the inertia dynamics of this motor are very high. It has a line-line resistance and inductance value of 0.93ohms and 8.9mH respectively. Under typical 240v AC operations or 320v Dc Bus, this motor can clock a rated speed of 3,400 rpm and a rated torque of 6.8Nm. Strictly in terms of torque capacity: it can produce a continuous torque of 8.3Nm under standstill operations (zero speed).
The maximum torque capacity for this servomotor is given as 20.5Nm, which is impressive for a weight category of 13kg. In terms of other dimensions, the motor has a width of about 6-inches and a 3-inch magnet stack length. It features an English mount and shaft with no option for a holding brake. Feedback and command for positional information to the drive controller is done via the output and action of either, or both, of its primary and secondary feedback. It uses the Tachsyn (a tachometer) for primary feedback, and an encoder (a 1000 Ppr, line driver output) for its secondary control. The shaft of this servomotor does not include sealing rings, and it is built with all standard parts in compliance with the most excellent of manufacturing procedures.
