Product Description
The PWM3632-5313-7-3 Permanent Magnet DC Motor features patented permanent magnets with anti-cog properties that offer smooth operation even at low speeds. The Pacific Scientific motor works at 130VDC voltage rating. It also has a 2.5HP power rating and 3400 RPM rotating speed. The brush springs are capable of producing constant force with their field-replaceable brushes and have a long life. It supports NEMA or the Metric Mounting option.
The DC motor has a rugged design and encompasses an equally rugged and fused commutator. The motor generates small, efficient, and light permanent magnet fields for better speed range as against wound field motors. The magnets in such motors are usually rare-earth or ferrite-based depending on whether they are used for size-sensitive or cost-sensitive applications. The magnetic field produced by the permanent magnet contains the armature with polyester impregnation to offer electrical and mechanical integrity. These motors do not require a field excitation arrangement. The magnets are positioned such that their North and South poles face the armature alternatively.
The large wiring compartment of the gasket-sealed conduit box makes the termination process easy. The permanent magnet motor is equipped with large-sealed bearings. The Class H insulation allows the motor to be run for an extended period without fear of overload. The spring-loaded brushes maintain mechanical contact with the commutator bars that are connected to the armature windings and deliver the required current for the armature. Permanent Magnet DC Motors are very easy to construct and the input power does not affect their efficiency. The motor is intended for use in treadmills.Pacific Scientific has proved itself to be a pioneer in the field of manufacturing motors worldwide with over eight decades of expertise. The manufacturer also has a wide range of brushless servomotors, hybrid stepper drives and motors, DC-powered generators and low-inertia servomotors to its credit.
