The N31HLLJ-LNK-NS-00 is a stepper motor from the N-series produced by Pacific Scientific. The stepper motor has been equipped with both series and parallel connections with 8-flying leads. The motor generates a significantly high amount of torque as compared to other motors from NEMA 34 category. The N31HLLJ-LNK-NS-00 has a full 1.8 ᵒ step angle. The motor uses class B insulation materials that can sustain temperatures as high as 155 ᵒC. The stepper has been designed with the best quality materials. It has been given approvals from CE and UL. In standard configuration, the system has IP 44 degree protection. IP 44 protected systems are safe from damage caused by small tools, wires, etc. The motor’s design supports the installation of a terminal box. Users can upgrade the protection standard to IP 65 degree by the use of the terminal box.

The N31HLLJ-LNK-NS-00 has a 4.5 Nm holding torque and 0.13 Nm detent torque. A lower detent torque value improves the motor’s microstepping performance. The stepper can be used in place of servo motors because it can maintain a high torque output at lower/moderate operating speeds. The motor’s bearings have been modified and their size has been increased. This enables the motor shaft to handle a greater amount of radial and axial loads.
