Product Description
Versatile and durable, the P22NRXB-LNF-NS-00 is another superior stepper motor from Pacific Scientific. It features all the upgrades offered by the Powermax II, such as: larger bearings (30mm) for longer bearing fatigue life of up to 400% above the 22mm versions, a relatively wide shaft diameter for improved load support, and great heat dissipation via exposed lamination aids.
The P22NRXB-LNF-NS-00 name code designates the design features of this motor, which is described as follows: It’s type and size code ‘P’ indicates a 58.4 mm × 58.4 mm rectangular frame, in accordance with the standard size for NEMA 23 category of motors. For extra radial support and balance, it is fitted with a standard NEMA mount. The stator winding code is ‘B’, and it comes with a two-stack rotor. The rotor is of standard type and has a single-end flat shaft attached to it (via the oversized bearings). In terms of its overall construction, all its parts are of standard type and the design is regular. This motor’s windings facilitate the following mechanical outputs under normal operations, within the recommended 0-40 °C ambient temperature range: a significant ‘holding torque’ of 1.51Nm with either parallel or series winding connection, and 1.07Nm when in the unipolar winding configuration. For improved static torque characteristics, it has a detent torque of 4.9 ×10-2 Nm. Based on its hybrid structure, this motor can achieve rotational steps of 1.80, with 200 total steps per revolution. This is especially important for applications that require subtle, yet precise movements e.g. printing. Since this motor has a standard rotor, it offers less acceleration than the low-inertia Powermax variant with a rotor inertia of 2.5×10-5 Kgm2.
Finally, this motor terminates via electrical receptacles for connections and does not support closed loop feedback via an encoder.
