Product Description
When it comes to power and durability, the POWERMAX II servo motors by Kollmorgen/Pacific Scientific sets a high standard for NEMA 23 step motors. For instance, the series boasts a holding torque of up to 253 oz-in. Aside from power, POWERMAX II motors also offers durable and long-life bearings, high temperature insulation, and high-quality magnets. The motors also have new polymer encapsulated stator, and high performance gearheads. For flexibility, POWERMAX II motors are also designed to support numerous shaft modifications.
Perhaps the most notable of the specifications is the shaft diameter of 0.375 inches on a NEMA 23 stepper, which is the largest in its class. A large shaft assures the motor can withstand high loads (radial and axial) while also supporting numerous shaft modifications. Kollmorgen/ Pacific Scientific included a few more features including 30-millimeter bearings for added durability. The 30-millimeter bearings are said to increase the life of bearings by a whopping 400%. The P22NRXA-LDS-M1-02 is a standard servo motor which is also under the POWERMAX II series. The motor is a standard NEMA 23 (2.25”) size, with two stacks, and NEMA mounting. Construction of the P22NRXA-LDS-M1-02 is “regular,” and termination is “X” (receptacle), which needs mating to leaded connectors.
The P22NRXA-LDS-M1-02 has a standard rotor type (“L”) and a single shaft configuration and a smooth shaft modification. The model has an encoder mounting provisions (“M1”) while all other parts are standard. This means a factory may assign if any of the parts are custom. Like the rest of the POWERMAX II line, the P22NRXA-LDS-M1-02 has a Class B insulation for additional protection.
