Product Description
Many industries rely on stepper motors to enhance the performance of machines for precision motion controls. The POWERMAX II by Kollmorgen/ Pacific Scientific essentially sets the standard when it comes to stepper motors, particularly for NEMA 23 step motors. The motors provide the highest torque per motor size and speed range, and are available in half-, single-, and two-stack configurations. Holding torque ranges from 42 oz-in. to 253 oz-in. The series has the largest shaft diameter of 0.375 inches on a NEMA 23 stepper. This can withstand high radial and axial loads while supporting numerous shaft modifications.
Some of the notable specifications of this series include an oversized 30-millimeter bearings. This durable setup increases bearing fatigue life (L10) by 400% over typical smaller 22-millimeter bearings. Kollmorgen/ Pacific Scientific also made sure to include precision components, including a precision ground rotor OD and honed stator ID. For additional durability, the POWERMAX II series have a rugged end bell, encapsulated windings and electrical connectors with high-tech polymers.
For protection, the typical POWERMAX II servo motor comes with a neodymium-iron-boron rotor magnets and “Class B” insulation. Some of the POWERMAX II models also come in with Sigmax technology, which adds flux concentrating samarium cobalt stator magnets to the motor. This serves to allow the motor achieve the highest torque and acceleration. A part of the POWER MAX II series, the P22NRXA-LDN-NS-00 is a standard stepper motor manufactured by Kollmorgen/Pacific Scientific. This hybrid step motor comes with a NEMA 23 and NEMA mounting standard. The P22NRXA-LDN-NS-00 has 2 stacks and termination receptacle. The P22NRXA-LDN-NS-00 has a standard rotor type.
It has a double shaft configuration and a smooth shaft modification. Encoder option is “No Feedback” and all other parts are standard.
