The P21NSXC-LSN-NS-03 comes from the POWERMAX II series that features NEMA 23 stepper motors. The motor comes with high energy neodymium-iron-boron magnets for high performance in dynamic environments. The motor has a phase resistance of 2.61 ohms, and its peak current is 1.51 A. The motor produces 0.82 Nm holding torque, which is the highest among NEMA 23 motors. The P21NSXC-LSN-NS-03 can be integrated with an optional high inertia rotor that enables the motor to significantly increase its torque and acceleration rates. This motor has an exceptional heat dissipation capability that comes with polymer encapsulated stator. This model has an extended fatigue life and can sustain a large number of loading cycles because of an increased bearing size (30 mm). Other motors in the same category come with a 22mm bearing size. An increased shaft diameter and rear shaft extension enable the shaft to sustain much more cycles of fatigue loading than other motors.
The P21NSXC-LSN-NS-03 produces the highest acceleration and torque because of the Sigmax Technology that utilizes samarium-cobalt stator magnets for concentrating magnetic flux. The torque is also significantly increased because of gearheads. A honed stator ID is provided in this motor. It provides a concentric air gap and ensures a smooth operation of the motor. The motor’s shaft has been designed to withstand a high amount of radial and axial loads. The motor’s thermal resistance is 5.5 ᵒC/watt. Because of exposed lamination aids, the P21NSXC-LSN-NS-03's heat dissipation capability is further enhanced. The motor has also been provided with an internal electrical receptacle that allows the mating connector to maintain a higher retention force.
