Product Description
The P21NRXB-LDN-PD-00 motor is a hybrid-stepper motor designed by Pacific Scientific and manufactured by Kollmorgen motors. It belongs to a class of highly functional stepper motors that have ruled the market since their introduction, mostly due to the excellent cost-quality solution they offer.
The P21NRXB-LDN-PD-00 motor is designed with fine craftsmanship, including quality features like quality magnets for the rotor, rugged insulation for high temperature operations (up to 130℃), and long-lasting bearings for load support. The motor features a standard frame size with the NEMA 23 flange dimensions, and a single rotor stack. The motor is also supported via a standard NEMA mount, and it has a receptacle for connection/termination purposes. The construction type is ‘Regular’, which means it has a typical Powermax II motor design, and it has a ‘B’ type winding. The rotor is equally standard (laminated), with a smooth shaft that extends on both ends of the motor (double sided). In terms of rotation, it has a resolution of 200 full steps, with each step corresponding to 1.80 of rotation. The encoder option, specified by the ‘PD’ tag, suggests a factory assigned option; this gives room for customization. The motor requires a maximum holding torque of 0.79Nm, as well as a detent torque of 0.028Nm. Since it has multiple phase connections i.e. parallel, series and unipolar, it has the following maximum phase current, resistance and inductances: 4.6 A, 1.28 ohms, and 4.4mH. The rotor also has a moment of inertia of about 1.2 ×10-5 kg/m2, which is common for the standard P21 motor series.
The P21NRXB-LDN-PD-00 is designed according to the best techniques in stepper motor technology. As expected of a motor within the Powermax II P-series ranks, it conforms to the highest reliability, maintainability and safety standards.
