Featured with a Low-Inertia Rotor and Sigmax® Technology the M22NRXA-JDF-NS-00 is a Stepper Motor from Pacific Scientific. This model was first launched in the Enhanced motor Series of POWERMAX II Hybrid Step Motors by Pacific Scientific. This motor comes with a 2-stack rotor. Motors with two stack rotors can produce greater holding torque. Being a Sigmax® technology compliant motor the M22NRXA-JDF-NS-00 capitalizes on a powerful rear earth magnet for the optimization of magnetic flux. The implementation of Sigmax® technology brings unmatched efficiency and better functionality.
This motor has a 2.3 square inch NEMA frame and it is designed to take 200 steps per full step at a full step angle of 1.8°. The maximum operating temperature limit for this motor is 40°C and its minimum operating temperature limit is – 20°C. The M22NRXA-JDF-NS-00 is a bipolar stepper motor that can be operated in either unipolar, series or parallel configuration. For maximum torque, the series configuration is recommended. For motor power, an 8-pin connector is incorporated in this model.
The relatively larger shaft of this motor and the implementation of Sigmax® technology make this motor an ideal choice for direct drive applications. In the direct-drive configuration, the motor can be coupled to a machine without an intermediate mechanical transmission device. The M22NRXA-JDF-NS-00 is widely used in linear motion, tangential motors, and belt-drive rotary motion applications as well. The NEMA type mounting offers a quick installation of this motor in various orientations. The rotor of this motor is much lighter than the rotors found in conventional NEMA 23 motors. A low inertia-rotor weighs lesser than normal and allows better acceleration rates and speeds. This stepper motor allows precise movements with a higher resolution.
