Product Description

The M21NSXA-LNN-NS-02 is a general purpose NEMA 23 Frame stepper motor from Pacific Scientific. This motor was originally designed and manufactured and offered in POWERMAX II Series. The basic motor used in this configuration is M21NSXA and its frame size is 2.3”. The M21NSXA-LNN-NS-02 motor comes with 1 rotor stack and it is offered with a smooth single-ended shaft. This model comes with standard type winding – a feature that makes it an ideal solution for a variety of applications.

The numbers of full steps that can be taken by this motor are 200 per revolution whereas its full step angle is 1.8°. This motor has a wide operating temperature range as it can be operated within a range of -20 to 40°C. The M21NSXA-LNN-NS-02 is offered with large 30 mm bearings, unlike other similar size motors that come with 22 mm or even smaller bearings. The bearings incorporated in this motor are designed to last more than 10K hours provided that the motor is operated within the specified axial and radial loads.

The maximum radial and axial load ratings for this motor are 20 lb. and 13 lb. respectively. This motor supports the installation of a motor encoder as well. For this model, HEDS 5600 series encoders from Agilent Technologies are recommended by the vender. The addition of an encoder makes this motor capable of transmitting real-time information about the current position and indicates whether it is stationed or in motion. This model comes equipped with standard, NEMA flange type mounting and can easily be deployed through four screws. The M21NSXA-LNN-NS-02 motor consumes 2 amperes of maximum current in bipolar series connection.
