The Kollmorgen manufactured PMA-type servomotors, are rugged, reliable, and cost-effective. These brushless servomotors have an extended life expectancy, with minimal maintenance requirements (due to their brushless design). The PMA21B-10100-00 is one of the smaller framed variants of this brand of motors, which makes it compatible for applications with minimal space and performance requirements.
Featuring a standard motor design, the PMA21B-10100-00 has a frame size of 70mm (square frame). Although it weighs 1.5kg, this motor can offer rotor moment of inertia of 26kgm2. It comes with a single stack, and a ‘B’-type winding. This winding type implies a maximum voltage range of 240V AC, and a nominal stall current of 2.7A. In terms of mechanical performance, this motor can offer a maximum speed capacity of 9,250rpm under zero-loading conditions. On loading, the nominal speed is capped at 6,050rpm with a continuous torque capacity of 0.5Nm. At zero speed, this servomotor can deliver a torque of 0.63Nm and a maximum torque of 1.9Nm -- the maximum torque can also be delivered at the nominal speed, however, under intermittent operation. The maximum permissible current capacity/requirement for this motor is 5.4A, at which the maximum torque is achievable. The above performance is guaranteed to be efficiently delivered when this servomotor is used with either the SC902-AN-001-01 or SCE902-AN-001-01 servo-drives form Kollmorgen. This motor comes with a closed keyway shaft type, key-fitted and designed according to DIN42995 N. It does not feature a holding brake, but it comes with a standard alignment resolver to maintain closed loop control. It uses a right-angle type standard 6 pole-power, 12 pole-sensor – 0-degree coded connector, with an option for mating plugs (available separately).
