Product Description
The all-digital brushless PC800-series of servo drives designed and produced by Kollmorgen manufacturing are cost-effective, compact, and offer the best lead-time in the industry. Featuring a Digital resolver-to-analog-converter, these drives provide smooth and precise operations, when connected with servomotors produced by Kollmorgen. For linear motor compatibility, these drives are also equipped with hall sensor inputs for commutation.
The PC843-XYZ-T belongs to the more advanced class of PC840 drives, with all the basic attributes of the PC800s and some more. It comes with an option for factory assigned hardware customization, based on its ‘XYZ’ customization code. Along with an analog interface for controlling motor torque or velocity, this drive features a SERCOS interface (the SERCON816 ASIC) for connectivity and real-time distributed motion control. In terms of sizing, it has a length of 198.1mm and a breadth of 157.9mm. This drive has the following input requirements: 90V -264V for bus and control logic at single phase or 3-phase connection, along with a maximum current of 500mA at 120V or 250mA at 240V. The output capacity of this motor is based on its power level code ‘3’, which indicates a continuous current capacity of 3.6A-5.3A (depending on cooling policy), and a peak current of 10.6A (for 5 seconds). The output power during continuous operation is between 1.5kw and 2.2 kw, and a maximum of 4.5kw. This drive can deliver the output power at a 98% efficiency; however, the peak power can last for just 1 second. This servo-drive comes with a terminal board adapter connector kit for improving connection speeds.
Highly compact, rugged, and customizable, this servo-drive is a great choice for applications ranging from robotics to packaging machinery. Indeed, it lives up to the Kollmorgen standard that has ruled the industry till now.
