Product Description
The PC843-001-N from Kollmorgen is a digital brushless servo-drive designed to broaden the functionality of typical Kollmorgen brushless servomotors, consequently improving their controllability, precision and overall cost-effectiveness in automation. It is a DSP based drive, with a rugged PLC-like digital and analog input/output option. It has a 400Hz velocity loop bandwidth, operates efficiently with little-to-no audible noise, and can excite the production of continuous torque up to 12.4Nm and peak torque of 33.3Nm.
Based off its ‘PC8’ servo drive designation, the PC843-001-N has the same functionalities for performance as the PC800-type drives. This includes the following: single resolver and hall/encoder feedback for application flexibility; separate logic supply input to ensure all round logic power, even during bus power disconnection/downtime; extensive protection circuits, etc. This servo drive uses a SERCOS interface, which is an upgrade from the conventional PC800 serial interface, offering higher connectivity and high-speed operation (up to 16KHz of network speed). This drive can produce a current of 3.6A during continuous/nominal operations, and 10.6A at a maximum. These currents are RMS values, and the maximum current is achievable for only a second. Since this drive supports both convection and forced-air type cooling schemes, the continuous current capacity can be increased to 5.3A with forced-air cooling (heat dissipation via convection is the base cooling policy). It has a peak output power capacity of 4.5Kw, and a continuous output power rating of 1.5Kw and 2.2Kw for operations with natural convection and forced-air cooling respectively. At a power efficiency of 98%, this drive ensures proper regulation of speed-torque characteristics in the coupled servo motor.
This servo drive is designed with all standard units, no accessories, and in compliance with the highest regulations for efficiency, reliability and safety.
