Product Description
The Kollmorgen manufactured PC830 series servo-drives are cost-effective, reliable, rugged and designed to offer the top-notch quality associated with Kollmorgen products. These are comparably capable of delivering the same level of high performance seen in other Kollmorgen servo-drives, but with an added advantage of compactness. At dimensions of 198.1mm and 88.1mm for the length and breadth respectively (rectangular structure), these drives are relatively small, which increases the flexibility of their applications in systems that cannot afford much extra space.
The PC834-105-N is a model with a few customization options, different from the basic versions. The ‘PC834’ code identifies this drive as a PC830-type digital, brushless servo-drive. This means it has all the features earlier described, along with some extra customization options. This servo-drive has a RS-232/485 Step pre-set indexing command interface (+/- 10V, DC), which allows for the user to input program instructions to the drive. This is possible with any IBM-compatible computer, via the PC830 tools software which contains the application driver for interfacing with a computer. As common with the PC830 drives, this drive uses a digital resolver- to - digital converter (DRDC) for easy interface with servomotors/linear motors to provide accurate and precise position control with a 24-bit-per-revolution resolution. The PC834-105-N operates with current at the following levels: 7.1A for continuous operations (nominal), and 21.2A at its maximum current capacity (for 5 seconds). The expected temperature of operation is between 25 ℃ – 40 ℃ via convection cooling, and the drive can output a power of 3.3kw at this mode of cooling. As a PC834 drive, it can drive its compatible motors at torque and speed ranges from 0.6Nm at 8,000 min-1 to 16Nm at 900min-1.
Finally, the PC834-105-N has factory assigned hardware customization options with no allowance for extra accessories.
