Product Description

The 55NM81-020-4-CTRL is a tacho type servomotor from Pacific Scientific. The DC servomotor features permanent magnets and has low inertia. It is one of the various motors from the manufacturer in its 55NM series. The unit offers very fast positioning performance for incremental motion control needs. It has a shaft diameter of 0.469 to 0.531 inches at the drive end bearing journal. The device has no facility for forced air cooling. We can deliver the motor to you through our delivery partners worldwide.

The permanent magnets in the motor are made of Alnico V. The low inertia motor comprises a standard tachometer but does not have an optical encoder. The device comes along with a factory assigned sequence number. It features a 24V voltage rating and 12.2ARMS current rating. The motor also has 0.01 oz-in rotor inertia. The unit weighs 10lbs. The device operates with the help of a permanent magnet that generates a magnetic field for the DC unit’s functioning. Hard and magnetic rare earth materials are used in the construction of the permanent magnets of these motors. This low inertia servomotor comes with a warranty period of one year.

The motor is used in applications where the motor speed does not have to be externally controlled. It has two parts comprising of an armature and a stator. The stator is designed like a steel cylinder and the magnets are present inside the cylinder. This type of motor generally has a very simple construction. The unit is widely deployed as a starter motor in washers, windshield wipers, and automobiles. The speed is controlled by having control over the magnetic field. The manufacturer is known for its wide range of motors in multiple categories that are capable of meeting almost all requirements.
