Today, our focus narrows to one of the demanded industrial component from Pacific Scientific called the 33VM62-220-16. It is a low inertia motor with a continuous rated current of 3.1 A to 5.7 A. The allowable continuous rated voltage is estimated to be 18 to 36V. It has an inlet/outlet cooling without baffles and the magnetic material used is the Alnico V-7. In considering the drive-end bearing journal, the range diameter of the shaft is between 0.344 to 0.406 inches. It is notable that the 33VM62-220-16 lacks the analog tachometer attachment as well as the optical encoder.
This low inertia motor is ideal for applications that require rapid start or stop, acceleration capabilities and point to point positioning. Because of the high acceleration capabilities, this low inertia motor becomes ideal for an operation that is 2000 RPM or less.
It is important that you follow the instructions regarding the operation of the 33VM62-220-16 for your own safety and to prevent any damage on the motor and also to maintain an optimum performance.
