The K32HLHJ-LNK-NS-00 is a state-of-the-art step motor designed by Pacific Scientific Automation company. This motor belongs to the K NEMA series and is characterized by its ability to produce a high torque despite its relatively moderate operating speed. Unlike servo motors, the step motor design operates at an improved torque linearity, but it also has a sophisticated acceleration boost that helps it move loads at an impressively fast rate. It also provides more torque for intermittent duty applications. The enclosure of this step motor provides protection according to the IP65 protection category; this high protection helps the motor to meet splashproof requirements and to function at an optimum level even when exposed to relatively harsh environmental conditions.
The K32HLHJ-LNK-NS-00 industrial step motor has a unique square design that makes installation into the servo system very easy to carry out; this rugged “housingless” shape also supports efficient use of volume for the optimal magnetic circuit. There is no air blower integrated into this step motor; the motor runs cooler than other steppers using identical drive parameters; it also dissipates excess heat through a combination of natural convection and thermal radiation. The bearings integrated into this industrial motor function at a top level for a long time, and they also help to prevent axial shaft movement for encoder applications.
The K32HLHJ-LNK-NS-00 frequency inverter has a two-phase design that is compatible with most drivers and provides smother micro-stepping. The two devices also require lower input power for operation. The input current required by the motor for operation is determined to be about 5.1 amperes; also, the motor requires an input voltage of approximately 55 volts. The nominal operating speed of the motor shaft is determined to be about 1500 revolutions per minute.
