Product Description

The F Series by Pacific Scientific is compact, small-sized servo motors with excellent dynamic properties applications that have confined space. These motors are now owned by Kollmorgen and are reputed in the motion control industry for high inertia and performance. The most impressive feature of F Series motors is their thermal protection and the maintenance-free design. Servo motors with permanent magnets are best suited for latest electronically controlled drives that have a wide range of control, high precision, and dynamic properties. The common applications of F Series include mechanics, automation, manufacturing, and packaging.

A part of the F series, the F46GENA-R2-NS-NV-00 comes with a G winding, permanent ferrite magnet, and a standard sequence number. The motor has an English shaft and mounting with no shaft sealing. It also features a frameless resolver of size 21 transmitter type for primary feedback. Other optional technical features of the F46GENA-R2-NS-NV-00 include the secondary feedback as well as the holding brake option. Kollmorgen F Series motors provide highly reliable operations and prolonged service life. These motors have increased the level of IP65 protection to ensure that no water or dust enters.

To prevent electrical noise (ElectroMagnetic Interference) that may harmfully reduce the motor's performance, you can use various effective techniques. Some of these techniques include AC power filtering, separating/ protecting the signal carrying lines, and using good grounding techniques. Filtering AC power can be attained by using separate AC power transformers or installing the AC line filters properly. The signal lines should be physically separated from the power wiring and motor cabling. All equipment should be grounded through a single-point parallel-ground system that uses ground bus bars or straps.
