Product Description
The 5645 hybrid motor driver is designed to be utilized with the Pacific Scientifics’ 5000 series of servo-stepper motors. The drive is made in such a manner that it can work flawlessly with the standard as well as the enhanced variety of comparable high-performance servo motors. It works well in the system where the motor winding's power rating is similar to that of the module output current and falls within the range of - 5.0 up to 8.0 Amp RMS (with 7.1 up to 11.3 Amps peak values).
The 5645 driver module has several features that make it excellent for running the 5000 series of Pacific Scientifics’ stepper motors. It sustains an input of 115 V AC (within ± 15% range) and the 13 A RMS (maximum) input current. It has the circuitry that is compatible and can generate an output of two-phase, chopper rectified current on the standard Bus voltage of 160-volt DC and having an input value of 115 volts AC. The user can easily control these parameters of rated current by using an on-board selectable switch and choose nominal values from 8.0 Amp RMS, 7.5 Amp RMS, 6.0 Amp RMS and 5.0 Amp RMS based upon the various peak micro-stepping values.
The 5645 is an Advanced Indexer by Pacific Scientific that combines the functionality of 5630 and provides indexing for BASIC Motion Control as a single module. It weighs just around 9 pounds (4 kilograms) and has an operational range of temperature which extends from 0 to 50 degree C when working at full current rating and from 0 up to 60 degree C when its idle current compression is enabled by the current setting between 5.0 to 6.0 Amps.
