Product Description
The Pacific Scientific Stepper Motors in the 5000 Series are useful in many industrial applications and are controlled using on-board electronic devices. This is accomplished by using suitable drivers designed using the required software that not only guarantees total compatibility but also is easily accessible.
The 5445 drivers are designed using the PacSci Stepper Basic programming syntax that gives it the capability to produce Functionality and Configuration of an Indexer while connecting to the main power of 120 volts AC rating. It provides the essential task of converting the stepper & directional data and synchronizing the power needed in motor winding to run the two-phase stepper-bipolar motor with a steady yield of 5 amps per phase based on the 65-volt DC bus line. These drivers are meant to be used for all compatible motors having the specific characteristics similar to those of the Pacific Scientifics’ Sigmax series of motors. While using these drivers, care needs to be taken to ensure that the motor winding is compatible and matched the rated output power values of the system.
The 5445 Indexer driver system typically consists of two components - the driver module and the supply power unit. The PacSci Basic programming syntax utilizes the PWM capability to maintain control over the motor effectively and also modulates all the generated mid-range frequencies. The power supply to the indexer includes an in-line step-down transformer with its outputs regulated adequately to provide constant rated power to the drive mains line. It also has a power dump circuit to eliminate energy from the supply when the input voltage rises beyond 80 volts, which sometimes happens at the time of deceleration of the motor. For safety, it has an LED display that indicates the short circuit by getting disabled.
