Product Description
The 5410 Bipolar Drive Module is a perfectly integrated package for power supplies along with the standard 5445 module indexer drive package. In its basic form, it is utilized to give steady output in the 5000 series of Pacific Scientific Motors and has the nominal chopper frequency of 20 kHz. The output values are given as per the input properties of the connected motors. With the drive configured to function as an Indexer too, the driver voltage Input covers 18 VDC to 75 VDC and current 5.0 +/- 0.1 Amp. The fixed Full Step Current value of the drive is also the same, i.e. 5.0 +/- 0.1 Amp while the micro-step value is 3.5 +/- 0.1 Amp.
The 5410 Drive Module also has a Micro-step Current Boost features which, when enabled, provides the micro-step current of the driver 1.4 times value than that of the normal micro-stepping current having the step rates over the designed 500 full steps. When this current boost feature is disabled, the driver starts supplying the rated current through all the step rates. Under normal operational conditions, the drive has a maximum pulse rate of 40,000 pulses per second while its values at full-step and half-step are 80,000 pulses/second and 500,000 pulses/second respectively and the minimum ramp time of 50 milliseconds with 200 mA maximum logic power input of the order of 12 +/- 5% Vdc.
The 5410 module comprises of an intuitive Pulse Width Modulation electronics circuit based intelligent control systems, with algorithm that uses the patented PacSci programming language platform and functions as an effective bipolar current chopper. It regulates the winding current of the drive and deals with various stepped inputs effectively.
