Product Description
The 5345 module of micro- stepper motor drive is used to provide steady output in the Pacific Scientific 5000 series Motors. It does so by using the smart electronics based control system that also effectively functions as a bipolar chopper and controls the winding currents of the motor using Pulse Width Modulation (or the PWM) characteristics and its basic PacSci programming language. It covers all types of inputs whether it is stepping pulse, directional, or current control. The corrected outputs are in harmony with the input characteristics of the two-phase stepper motors.
The 5345 drive module also incorporates features such as Micro step value with current boost on or above 500 steps per sec. Its advanced ICR (Idle Current Reduction) circuit helps in reducing the motor current while idling and can be easily enabled or disabled using the switch on the control panel. It has the drive configuration & functionality akin to that of an indexer and uses its 2-phase, bipolar, current regulated model circuit that uses the driver voltage input from range 18 to 75 Vdc and current 2.5 +/- .1 Amp. The rated driver current value at Full Step is 2.5 Amperes +/- .1 Amps. Its micro step the value is 1.75 +/- .1 Amps.
The 5345 drivers are intended for the purpose of being used along with the Pacific Scientific 5000 Series drives and provide an onboard fully automatic control system with the 2.5 A RMS value of current and the required power supply of 65 Volt DC. The module gives satisfactory protection from situations like ground short circuits and overheating that are commonly encountered. Also, it has a prominently displayed LED panel that indicates the onset of such an eventuality.
