Product Description

A CNC machine's servo and spindle motors can be controlled by an Okuma VACIII D11 Spindle drive. Accuracy and motor economy are the design priorities. Okuma produces the VAC III with a focus on reliable performance for use in industrial automation.

The VACIII D11 spindle drive assures effective motor operation through the application of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control technology. The drive usually works with an AC (three-phase) input power range of 200V to 230V. Motors receive AC voltage from the variable output power that is adjusted according to the operational needs. The drive is quite probable that the communication interfaces comprise RS-485, and CAN. For accurate motor positioning and top-notch machining performance, encoder feedback is essential, and ER encoders are the ideal choice. The precise frequency that the drive unit runs at can vary based on the requirements for motor control, although it typically operates at 50/60Hz. To provide precise motor control and accurate movement in CNC machining applications, the VAC III employs vector control or sensor-based feedback systems. The inside PCB has several DB connectors that allow it to connect to the system.

For maximum heat dissipation, the VACIII D11 spindle drive has an aluminum heat sink. The drive unit is more protected, and the performance is more reliable, thanks to these qualities. Panels or DIN rails house the drive unit within the CNC cabinet. To keep working temperatures constant, it uses forced-air cooling with openings for ventilation. The dust- and heat-resistant enclosure is built to withstand a wide range of working conditions. A small and effective option, the VAC III weighs between ten and fifteen kilograms (22 and 33 pounds). For complex industrial automation tasks, this spindle motor’s control solution is dependable and accurate, and it integrates easily with CNC systems.
