Product Description
The Okuma VAC3-D11 is a spindle servo drive. It belongs to the VAC3 product line. The drive is used for motor control. The rated output of the drive is 11 kilowatts. The VAC3-D11 controls the spindle speed and spindle angular position of the connector spindle motor. The output rating of the drive used for motor control depends on the VAC motor that is to be controlled. The VAC3-D11 requires three-phase 200 Volts AC input. The allowable input voltage range is 180 to 220 Volts AC at 49 to 62 Hertz. Optical fiber cable is used for communication with the NC. This helps to ensure high reliability and simplifies wiring requirements. Each VAC drive is comprised of a CPU board, a GD board and a power unit. The VAC3-D11 drive is comprised of the VAC-Board-III and the power unit D11.
The output rating of the drive depends on the power capacity of power source that is used. For power sources with 16 kVA capacity, the 30-minute continuous output rating for the VAC3-D11 is 11 kilowatts (15 Horsepower) and the corresponding continuous output current rating is 46 Amps. For power sources with 22 kVA capacity, the 30-minute continuous output rating for the VAC3-D11 is 15 kilowatts (20 Horsepower). Environmental requirements for the VAC3-D11 motor are as follows: 0 to 55 degrees Celsius working temperature for the drive. 0 to 45 degrees Celsius working temperature for the cabinet, -20 to 60 degrees Celsius storage / transportation temperature for the drive, up to 75% relative humidity for general operation and up to 95% relative humidity for 1 month duration. The VAC3-D11 must not be exposed to coolant or lubricating oils during operation. The vibration rating for the VAC3-D11 for normal operation is maximum 0.5 G.
