The VAC-MF7.5-5.5R-7.53-R1 VAC spindle servo motor works together with a designated drive unit that is made up of a power supply unit and a control printed circuit board. The motor is equipped with a resolver and a magnetic encoder and can function at a speed of 750 revs per minute (RPM) and 6000 revs per minute (RPM). Different parts of the motor such as the ROM, potentiometer, switch, and drive unit function hand-in-hand for optimal motor function. It also comes with a motor power cable connection between the motor, terminal connection, and the VAC drive unit. When these are appropriately connected, the risk of damage to the motor by overcurrent is significantly reduced.
According to IEC 60034-1 and NEMA, the VAC-MF7.5-5.5R-7.53-R1 AC spindle motor is a product of insulation class F, hence it has thermal stability of 155° C. Its permissible ambient temperature range is from 0° C to 40° C and the permissible ambient humidity range for its operation is between 30 % and 95 %. The spindle servo motor has an inbuilt thermal protector to ensure that the appropriate temperature for its optimal functioning is not exceeded. A fan also cools it to prevent overheating.
