Product Description

The VACII D11-A is a VAC II drive unit designed and manufactured by Okuma. It comprises of the different components and unit parts. These include the control PCB (printed circuit board) VAC board II, control PCB VAC Card I, the power supply unit, and spare parts. It is worth to note that spare parts and the power supply unit are common to the VACII D11-A, and type A VAC drive unit. You should also note that you cannot install the control PCB on any power unit except for the type A unit. Combining the control PCB with older or other types of power supply units will cause the VAC II drive unit to malfunction.

There are specific settings and adjustments for switches and potentiometers on the control PCB. DIP switch 'SW1’ and ’SW2’ is used to set control software based on the specifications. DIP switch 'SW3’ and ’SW4’ is used to set the control software based on the motor. ROM is the device used for storing control software and is common to every type of motor excluding special specifications. VR1, VR2, and VR3 are not valid for high-precision VAC. 'SM’ is used to finely adjust full-scale current or speed meter while 'LM’ is used to adjust full-scale output current for load meter finely.

The operation status of the VACII D11-A is designated with the LEDs on the control PCB. You can look at the status of the operation using the hole in the cover.  The operation condition of the PCB is indicated by three LED's, i.e., POWER (green), LOSS (red) and CPUALM (red). POWER shows the supply of power for the drive's control circuit. LOSS shows the voltage being applied to the operation circuit is outside the specification. CPUALM shows faulty operation circuit.
