Product Description
Ever since the start of the industrial age, manual machinery has been the standard for all variations of work. During the boom of technological advancement, Automation has also become the latest trend, with many companies replacing manual labor for the much more efficient machines that are currently dominating the global market. CNC machines and automated machining centers have taken over the majority of the market, and are the ideal equipment for every aspiring company. Okuma is one of the companies that deals with the manufacture and distribution of these machining centers, and is now known as an expert in their production. They also deal in factory automation equipment and spare parts such as servo motors.
MIV Inverter series is a series of inverter units crafted to drive the spindle motors and axis drive motors of industrial machining centers. A MIV unit operates by using a DC power supply with 300 VDC and 24 VDC, which is the control power supply. The unit sends and receives data with its peripherals using the servo link, the encoder link and the converter link. It includes a built in electronic control board that has been designed for motor control. Two types of MIV units are commonly used in the machining centers, one-axis specification which control one motor and two-axis specification that control two motors.
What makes the MIV0505A-1-B1 Okuma Inverter Unit unique is the fact that it is a second generation unit, launched after 2004with much better specifications than the first. Second generation units come installed with a multitude of features and a powerful unit capacity of 5 KW. The ICB1 Inverter control board optimizes the operation within the unit, while providing smooth control over the functions of the device.
