Product Description

A MIV03-1-B1 part is an inverter unit with an L side unit capacity of 3.0kW. The part is well made and well equipped to provide power to axis drive motors and spindle drive motors. Okuma specializes in creating long-term drive solutions. The MIV is a perfect example of their effort for reliable drives. This MIV part has the capacity to provide its drive motor with 24 VDC of control power and an overall 300 VDC of supply of power.

The MIV03-1-B1 inverter unit features an on-board control board that is used to control the motor. The inverter unit has the ability to communicate with the converter link, the servo link and the encoder link via peripherals and can be connected to a DC power supply unit that is at the same time connected to another MIV unit.

The DC power supply is the unit which supplies power to the inverter unit. The unit should be connected with a 24 VDC control power supply or a 300 VDC power supply. This will allow for the execution of communication with the converter link and the inverter unit.

Your inverter unit will connect to the network by way of a servo link. Within the servo, the link is an FCP board which has the tasks of controlling both the MIV units spindle function as slave stations and the master station as well.

The MIV03-1-B1 inverter unit comes with a 7 segment LED display on the front section of the unit. The display shows the status of the unit in normal operation and in the event that something goes wrong it will show an alarm status on the display and will sound an alarm. This safety mechanism is quite beneficial and one of the strong points of the MIV03-1-B1.
