Product Description

MIV01-1-B1 is another innovative device added in a series of servo drives produced by renowned company Okuma Corporation. Okuma Corporation is a globally known company for its innovative products in the field of automation and controls and the above-mentioned product is one of them. The MIV inverter of the servo drive is responsible for receiving the signals from the feedback system of the machine and to amplify and transmit this signal in the form of current to specially drive spindle or axis motors which are mostly used in CNC machines to change to tools or to adjust the position. MIV01-1-B1 features an ICB1 control board which is responsible for its proper functioning and signal transmission. A type 1 control ROM is installed in MIV01-1-B1.

MIV01-1-B1 is designed to work only in a single axis. It is capable of driving motors in L-axis only with a capacity of 1KW unlike the similar servo drives introduced by Okuma which are capable of working in multi-axes i.e. M-axis and L-axis. To protect the device from burning or any damage in case of high voltage or current, Okuma suggests the users use MIV01-1-B1 with a circuit breaker switch or a fuse.

Okuma Corporation is known for durable products, thus they designed a special plastic cover for MIV01-1-B1 which not only protects it from water, dust, etc. but also prevents the passage of electric current to the user in case of any contact with the device. Due to rigorous machining hours, there is a chance of damage to the device due to heat. To tackle this situation, the manufacturers have installed a heat sink which increases the ambient operating temperature thus increasing the durability of the device.
