Product Description

Okuma has an impressive variety of servo spindle drives, which are used in most motion control applications and form an important module that runs the inter-dependant subparts with precision and reliability. They are used in units ranging from simplistic motion control machines to high-end CNC based systems. This achieved due to the ease of achieving variable power characteristics based on the rapidly changing intrinsic data which ensures precision and dependability leading to high efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The Okuma D22A drive unit of type VACII has been intuitively designed with a simple interface, which makes it easy to operate. It is based upon printed circuit boards units having two main PCBs – the VAC board II and the VAC card 1 and a power supply module. These drives are manufactured as per the conceived power density. Its functioning is simplistic, based on the digital signals rapidly processed by the encoders on a real-time basis which are then picked up and analyzed by the PCB module which in turn sends the operational commands to the system.

The D22A spindle drive has differently colored LED indicators which convey the instantaneous state of functionality, including faults if any. When required, the panel of the power supply section can be easily opened by the operator by removing its screws on the upper and lower corners. The LED's placed on the instrument panel PCB symbolize the operational situation of this VACII drive. These LED's are located prominently and the codes are given with the manual point to the immediate operational condition of the VAC drive unit as well as the VAC motor indicating status like the "normal operation" or ”faulty operation.” based on various LED lighting codes.
