Product Description
In a bid to outclass the competition, in terms of motor speed-torque capacities, the BLII-D class of servo-drives were developed by Okuma to enhance their BL-series of motors.
Generally, the BLII-D class of servo-drives are differentiated in their unit types—as well as their performance capacities. The BLII-D30-30A is a two-axis unit A-type BLII-D servo drive, and this is indicated by the double ’30’ in its name code. Having a two-axis unit suggests an option for connecting two separate motors. The recommended configuration for the double motor connection mode is this: the motor with the higher power rating should be connected to the first unit-axis, and the lower rated one to the second unit axis. This ensures proper functionality and optimal delivery of the torque-speed capabilities of the connected motors. The numerical values in the name code also implies the power unit capacity of this drive.
For the first and second axes, it has a power unit of 30 each. This also suggests the kinds of motors that it can drive at optimal performance: it can conveniently operate motors with output power ratings between 0.8 to 1.5 kW and delivers exact performance when coupled with compatible BL- series motors, such as: BL-MH51E-20, BL-MH101E-12, and BL-MS50E-20. As with every other BLII-D drive, it operates its main circuitry via an input AC voltage between 180 – 240V at a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz; the main circuit requires a 3-phase connection too. For the control circuit, however, a single-phase AC input voltage between 85 – 125V is enough. The output capacity of this drive is described via a current (which is its control signal to the motor), which is rated at 8A and 25A for continuous and maximum outputs respectively.
