Product Description
Okuma manufacturing company is a multi-national leader in the design and production of general automation equipment, CNC machines, servo drives and motors alike. Designed by Okuma according to the best approaches and innovations in servo-drive technology, the BLII-D150A offers all the general attractions of the BLII-D category along with high current (translating to high motor torque) delivery.
This servo drive features a single-axis unit, which has the most impressive performance within the A-type BLDII-D class. This performance is based on its power unit specification of ‘150’, which is indicated in its type-code. It can generate an output current of up to 125A at a maximum, and 40A for continuous duty operation of the attached brushless motor. It equally has a frequency characteristic of 1200Hz and more, along with a capacitor discharge circuit (with resistance) for dissipating regenerative energy. It is powered in its main circuit via a 3-phase AC voltage within the range of 180v – 240 v, and in its control circuit with a voltage requirement of 85v – 125v AC (single-phase).
These voltage values are rated (rms) and are required at a frequency of either 50 or 60Hz. For improved precision in delivering control signals to the motor, it uses a PWM control method via an Integrated gate bipolar transistor. This servo-drive is, however, expected to be used with compatible motor types to ensure rated performance is guaranteed. These motors are considered with regards their output power capacity, and this power rating is expected within the range of 4-8 kW. The BLII-D150A servo drive is well protected against over-current, under-voltage and over-load. This is to maximize its lifespan and ensure that it continues to maintain the required level of efficiency, precision, and control for which the BLII-D servo drives are highly regarded.
