Product Description

The BL3-D75A is a replacement or at maintenance unit type of servo drive, depending on the need. Designed with excellent features and consideration for reliability, this unit from the Okuma manufacturing line is well optimized for high-quality automation integration—especially during downtime for the regular BL-D drive.

It has a special function code ‘A’ in its naming convention, and this indicates that it is meant to operate brushless servo motors. As earlier mentioned, the BL3-D75A is a maintenance-type servo drive for its equivalent sets of BL-D-type drives. This implies that it incorporates as many BL-D drives up to its maximum power unit capacity, which is 75; this includes the 15A, 30A, 50A, and 75A capacity BL-D servo drives. While it does not physically house all these servo drives stacked together, the BL3-D75A can be made to function in any capacity of the listed BL-D drives by way of a pre-set switching and jumper configuration. The required combination of switch and jumper connections for achieving compatibility with the required motor drive is also labelled on this unit. This is to ensure the user can easily access this pertinent information and apply accordingly. The consequence of a mismatch in this unit’s output/motor configuration is a full demagnetization of the servomotor. However, as part of the maintainability options included in the drive design, there are various colour coded LED alarm signalling. This makes it easy for troubleshooting and reduces the need for an overhaul which is more exhaustive.

As with the regular BL-D type servo drives, the BL3-D75A is also powered by AC voltage. However, it requires an input voltage range of 170V – 242V at a frequency of 60Hz or 50 Hz (depending on utility supply).
