Product Description
The BL-D150A is one of the highest rated servo-amplifiers in the BL-D category of drives made by Okuma industries, and it is most suitable for driving brushless servomotors with high requirements for power, torque, speed and efficiency.
It Features all the basic attributes of the BL-D class of servo-drives, such as: motor overload detection, LED indicators for signalling faults, overcurrent alarms, input voltage level detection, and circuit failure protection. These measures ensure that the BL-D150A always operate the attached servomotor according to the recommended level of reliability and tolerance that qualifies as excellent automation. The uniqueness of this servo-amplifier is mostly in its power unit capacity of 150 (second only to the BL-D300A, which is the largest). Due to this large power capacity, this servo-amplifier can operate servomotors with a higher range of continuous and maximum current outputs.
This easily translate to an increase in speed or torque for the connected motor depending on the requirements of the intended application. This drive has a 1-axis servo processor board that sends the required control signal for achieving the desired positional and rotational control. This signal is then amplified and sent to the servomotor in form of pulses, adequately modulated in amplitude and duration to match the expected motion. The pulses are sent via a transistor, which allows for faster switching or response. Due to its power unit capacity, the BL-D150A is only compatible with the following Okuma brushless servomotors of the BL-M series: BL-MS125E-60, BL-MS140E-30, BL-MS140E-20, BL-H400E-12, BL-MH301E-20, BL-MH101E-60, BL-H700E-10, BL-MH700E-20. The BL-D150A also features 8 SW switches, and 6 of these switches are required to be either ‘on or off’ in a pattern that pertains to the attached motor. This is to ensure the connected drive is recognized by the amplifier, and the right performance specifications are applied.
