Product Description
Okuma Corporation is a Japanese solution provider of motion and logic control accessories. The Asian company has been offering engineering and technology solutions for almost a century. Okuma’s CNC control boards, drive systems, encoders and servomotors promise smooth, consistent and high-accuracy results. With BDU-30D module, the company showcased yet another example of brilliance.
Part number BDU-30D belongs to the family of BDU drive manufactured by Okuma Corporation. The module is one of the basic components of Okuma servo units. The BDU-30D drive is responsible to extract the motion from the servomotor. As control system transmits the command signal to the BDU-30D servo drive, it amplifies the signal and then produces electric current to the servomotor accordingly. The electric current, in return, brings out the motion as per the command signal. Performance of any servo drive module depends upon different factors, such as drive type, motor type and rating, control axis, frequency, input voltage and current limit. The BDU-30D is a type D servo drive with CA axis. It requires a normal range of input voltage; between 200 to 220 volts supplied via three-phase terminal. The Japanese-made servo drive offers frequency range of 50 to 60 Hz. Moreover, it features a wide current range between 0 to 25 amperes.
The BDU-30D servo drive module should be used with BL-50E-20 servomotor for best performance. The servomotor BL-50E-20 by Okuma runs on AC power and features a control type E. Meant for low-speed performance and high accuracy, the BL-50E-20 servomotor features a tapered shaft, just like a rotating cone. The servomotor has a continuous stall torque of 5.3 Nm while its rated speed is 2000 RPM. The BDU-30D servo drive comes with 1-year warranty.
