The Okuma OSP-700B is an operator panel for the Okuma Cadet Mate Vertical Machining Center. Even through safety devices are included to prevent accidents, operators should use the machine carefully. To maintain machine accuracy, the recommended ambient conditions include 17 to 25 degrees Celsius (62.2 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit) ambient temperature, maximum 75% non-condensing relative humidity, protection from direct sunlight and protection from excessive vibrations. All electrical wiring must be carried out by trained service technician or authorized electrical technician. The power to the machine with the OSP-700B should be not drawn from a distribution panel that supplies other machines that generate a lot of electrical noise such as an electric discharge machine. The machine with the OSP-700B should be grounded independently of other machines.
The OSP-700B operator panel includes a CRT with function keys and a full keypad. It is attached to the ATC operation panel and the machine operation panel. A type label is attached to the backside of the OSP-700B for identification purposes. There is a very serious risk of injury if the machine with the OSP-700B is used improperly. The product documentation includes a list of relevant safety instructions. All the instructions should be read, understood and implemented. The product documentation also includes relevant installation instructions. These instructions should be following during equipment installation. Failure to follow relevant instructions can lead to equipment damage and injury. Only trained and qualified technical personnel should perform installation, operation and maintenance of the machine that is controlled through the OSP-700B operator panel. The maintenance of the machine and operator panel should be performed in line with the manufacturer recommendations as contained in the product documentation.
