Product Description
The Okuma OSP-7000L is a high-performance numerical control system. It is an upgraded and enhanced version of the Okuma 5000L system. The system features a 9-inch CRT as a standard feature. The control specifications include X, Z simultaneous 2-axis control with linear and circular interpolation. The system supports absolute position detection via an absolute position encoder. The multitask system allows tape editing to be performed during machine operation which minimizes system downtime. The OSP-7000L supports combined use of absolute/incremental programing. The minimum input increment for metric system is 1 micrometer for both the X- and Z-axis. The maximum input increment is ±99999.999 millimeters (8-digit decimal number). The rapid feedrate for both the X- and Z-axis is maximum 56 meters/minute. The cutting feedrate for both the X- and Z-axis is maximum 56 meters/minute.
The working ambient temperature range for the OSP-7000L is 17 to 25 degrees Celsius. The permissible range of temperatures for the control cabinet is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The permitted range of relative humidity at 20 degrees Celsius is 40 to 75%. The installation site should not be subject to sunlight or excessive vibrations. Moreover the operating environment should be free of dust, acid, corrosive gases and salt spray. The input voltage rating of the OSP-7000L is 200 Volts with 10% permitted tolerance. The power supply frequency range is 50 / 60 Hertz. Power for the OSP-7000L must not be drawn from a distribution panel that also supplies a major noise source such as an electric arc welder. Okuma recommends using a separate ground for the OSP-7000L. If a common ground has to be used, then it should be ensured that other equipment that use the same common ground do not generate a lot of noise.
