Product Description
The Okuma OSP-7000 is an industrial numerical control system. All the necessary information such as part program, tools offset values, zero offset value and soft-limit data are stored in CMOS memory. The CMOS memory is backed up by a battery and retains information even if the power is turned off. The service life of the battery is approximately 10 years. An alarm is generated if the battery voltage gets low. The machining programs should be stored in CMOS memory prior to starting machine operation. The OSP-7000 includes safety devices. Operators must not rely on these safety devices but must also become fully familiar with safety guidelines to ensure accident-free operation. The OSP-7000 should be installed at a site when the ambient temperature is between 17 and 25 degrees Celsius and where the factory humidity level is between 40 and 75%.
The site where the OSP-7000 is installed should not be subject to sunlight or excessive vibration. The environment should be free of dust, acids, corrosive gases and salt spray. The OSP-7000 can be operated from a primary power supply that complies with the following requirements: 200 Volts, maximum 10% voltage fluctuation, and 50/60 Hertz power supply frequency. The power for the OSP-7000 should be drawn from a panel that does not supply equipment that is a major source of noise such as an electric discharge machine or an electric welder. The OSP-7000 should be connected to a ground that is not used by any other machine. The electrical control cabinet should be protected from chips, water and oil. The temperature range for the electrical control cabinet is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius and the humidity range is 30 to 95%.
