The MPS10 model is an energy-efficient DC power supply module designed by Okuma. The model is well known due to its exceptional power delivery capabilities. The MPS DC power supply module belongs to the family of MSC products and is highly recommended due to its efficient operational stability. The supply module comes with a 7-segment status display LED attached at the front of the unit. The status LED displays the errors, faults, and operating status of the supply module. The MPS DC power supply module is a DC supply unit used to supply 24 – 300 VDC power to the attached MIV unit. The module uses a converter link for developing communication between the supply unit and the MIV module. This module is of power regeneration type and a system drive system with a spindle drive motor uses an MPS supply module. The unit uses an AC reactor and electromagnetic contactor for developing a connection with a 3-phase AC power source. A single supply module can also be attached to more than one MIV unit. The MPS must be installed in a control cabinet of at least IP54 protection.
The model MPS10 has a unit capacity of 10 kW (13 hp) and a heat sink is also attached to the unit. The supply module uses external and internal cooling fans to maintain its ambient temperature. A control board is also placed in this model to execute control operations. A DC bus charged status indicator is also placed in this model.
